Dr. Marc van Iersel, Kaylee South and Dr. Paul Thomas visited Green Circle Growers, Inc., in Oberlin, Ohio on Friday, October 30 as part of a meeting with Green Circle Growers management. Green Circle is the largest producers of orchids in the US. We were there to discuss research opportunities to help them better understand the impact of watering orchids using ice cubes. We look forward to working with them and Dr. Michelle Jones at Ohio State University. Sounds like this will be a fun and exciting project. And a great opportunity for a UGA undergraduate to get some real research experience.
